The Breakthrough

Imagine a wall: it is thin and made of drywall. You look at it and see a wall and when you lean against it, it holds your weight. But it flexes because if you REALLY wanted to get through the wall, you could break through the dry wall. . On the other side of the wall, there is something you can't get anywhere else but in there. You NEED this thing behind the wall and the only thing stopping you from getting to what you DESIRE SO badly and NEED to breathe is behind that wall. You NEED to push through. And finally, your feet are supported by strong concrete. There are no holes to fall through. You will ALWAYS have that floor under your feet.

Psalm 63:8 says, "My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me" (Psalm 63:8).

God is JUST like that wall. When you look at Him, you can be sure it's Him. When you lean on Him, you can be sure He'll hold your weight. His right hand holds you up as a concrete floor would. You cannot fall out of our through a hole His hand. You are safe.

Each of God's children have two options in Christianity: you can stand in contented complacency in His hand and maybe even look at Him with awe and reverence. Or, you can follow HARD after Him, KNOWING that with great effort and pursuit, you'll break through a breakable wall and will have a Divine unity with God Himself. You and the Creator of the universe will have a oneness that is like none other. Far more intimate than the most beautiful, God-written marriage, deeper than the connection between a mother and her child, this unity will blow your mind. You've heard Steven (Owsley) say it before, our God is calling us to be with Him in the Holy of Holies, but it takes a hard pursuit after Him to break through the wall that is "normal Christianity."

Dare to defy even the standards set by today's Christianity? Care to be an early church Christian? Push hard in pursuit of your Savior and break through into the Holy of Holies. Our Savior is calling. It's time.
