My Summer Thus Far

It has been far too long since I've updated my blog. My apologies...

I am spending my summer at Somerset Beach Campground. I am currently there and will remain put until August 30th when I move back into school.

I moved into my retro silverbullet camper the day I finished school. My surroundings are extremely quiet, with the exception of the constant bird chirping or goose gawking. All I hear is nature and it's wonderful. There aren't many people me, but the ones that are are extremely wonderful. I love them. They are all like wonderful grandmas and grandpas. So I start my days when the sun rises, spend most of the day in the Word, reading a book, or doing something outdorsy-like. It is amazing. I have no responsibilities and obligations--with the exception of work.

For work, I am in the welcome building for the campground. My job is to reserve campsites for people, answer their questions, and check people in. It is wonderful, and I love it.

I am learning a lot since I've been at camp. One, I am learning the blessedness of peace and quiet. It is so beautiful to wake up with the sun, spend the entire day comuning with God in a very direct way, enjoying His creation, and not having a care in the world. It is Him and me all day every day. Back to the basics I go. I don't need technology or a fancy house to survive... I just need my God. That's it! He provides everything else and all of those things are just added blessings!!
