Disgust

Dear American,

Can you claim the name of Jesus Christ and deny His child food at the same time?

Are you working under societal and cultural rules or are you following the model of the Gospel?

Why spout high desires to feed the hungry of the world when you neglect the people right under your nose?

The hungry are all around us. The naked aren't far from home. Many are imprisoned and we don't even know it.

We are so wrapped up in a societal mess of ignorance. We look up and over the people who need food, clothing, and freedom. Don't let your passion to feed the hungry allow you to overlook the people right next door.

When you deny even one person the opportunity to eat, you deny Christ Himself--even if it's right in the DC.
