Helpers usually have a hard time being helped and asking for help in general. And oftentimes, helpers don't usually get asked if they need help because they look like they have it all together. This can result in exhaustion because they are constantly pouring into others' lives and not being poured into.
This is the story of my life.
However...
...today, I asked for help! And lo and behold, a few came to my rescue! It was really hard asking for help, but it was fun to be helped for once! It was nice to be served for once! It was nice to be able to relax a little bit and let others help me.
It did, however, push my buttons every once and a while. They weren't the "angry" or "annoyed" buttons. It was more like: Hey, I want to help you so will you please just let me serve you" buttons. It was a stretch for me to allow another to serve me, and I'm still not used to it. But by golly, it was nice.
I felt like a lady tonight.
:)
God sure surprised me with a few wonderful friends. :)
Thanks for giving me genuine friendship, God. I'm not used to it, but thanks. You're so faithful.
